Headlamp Condensation
Is anyone out there in the UK interested in banding together to force Daimler Chrysler to get this condensation issue solved? I am dealing with Kings at Swindon and getting nowhere. I think we would have a much better chance of getting DC to admit there is a design fault and get it sorted if there was some sort of "class action" or threat thereof.
If you are interested send me your detail ie the condensation problem, when you bought the car, where you bought it, name address, email etc and I will give it plenty of welly and let's see what they will do. Alternatively if anyone else out there wants to try I am willing to assist. Come guys there are taking the mickey out of us.

Hi Barry,
I have had a problem with my one headlight misting up inside, but Chrysler told me that it was within 'acceptable limits', i.e. it clears after leaving the lights on so long, hence they said there was nothing that they could do.
I have to admit, since the weather has been a bit warmer, I haven't had the problem so much. How bad does yours get?
Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave
I had the same response after they had replaced them once. They still mist up depending on the weather quite badly at times. The headlamps make no difference. I think it is a design fault with the plastic headlamps and they don't want to admit it. It looks really naff on such a lovely car.
Cheers.

Attached is a picture I sent to my garage.

Mine have been replaced 3 times under warranty and are now fine. The first 2 times the TSB kit fix was used the 3rd time the lights were just replaced totally.
At the GTG in Orlando, there were 13 Xfires. Three of them had major condensation in the drivers side headlight. Mine included. I went to the dealer on Friday and made an appointment to return on Wed am. The headlight was my main concern.
