Default Transponder coil position

What is the transponder coil position on the ignition key. One can look from the dash and look at the silver ring around the ignition key. It has a black mark on the silver ring, I need to know if this mark is on the bottom or top. Or where it is located. I am not sure if the transponder coil has to be in a certain position.

why do you need to know this anyways? you should download the repair manual, it will answer your questions.

I have the repair manual it does not show how to orient the transponder.

Thanks, I will put mine in with the notch on the transponder ring toward the bottom.
