Default After market steering wheel MOMO etc.

I can anyone help me find an after market steering wheel that will fit the crossfire. I have been looking at MOMO even though it is a universal fit I cannot find an xfire mounting hub for it.

Has anyone put a momo on a xfire? Which steering wheel? Would this momo TREK steering wheel work? It needs a mounting hub.

Is something wrong with your stock steering wheel?

BTDT, do a search.

its not easy or pretty, and your ABS & stability control go bye-bye. the car will run though, but i only went around the block with the new wheel before i put the old one on. it isn't worth it.

Sorry man you can't put any aftermarket wheel on this car unless it's made by Mercedes. Ain't life a *****! Actually you can do it but there is some parts housed behind your wheel which might be exposed by using a MOMO wheel. You could take a junkyard wheel and adpt some of the Mercedes benz parts on to the Momo wheel.

Try searching ebay for a SL500 wheel, or AMG steering wheels. Good luck because they are very pricey. Might be better off putting that money towards more importance upgrades.

If I can only use a mercedes steering wheel on the xfire, then is it save to say that the MOMO Mercedes hub will convert it?

it might work but I think its designed for the old MBZ190 series, give it a shot. If HDDP could'nt figure it out I doubt it's do-able. but I loved to be proven wrong.

back to this old question, I don't care about the air bag or the light. I would disable the light or keep the xfire steering wheel for inspections. Please only answer if you are in favor this mod.

Can you help create a steering hub to adapt the crossfire to accept a momo/sparco steering wheel. Please let me know if you can help?
Paul

To answer your question, I prefer the OEM. It's too ricey for my taste, but to each their own.

latest update on the hub JR Industries will give it a try, you would buy the hub from them and choose what ever MOMO steering wheel you want.

PM "Line up 10 people willing to put money down on something like this, get us a steering wheel that we can use for test fitting and we will make it happen. We just need to make enough first go around that we at least can cover our tooling and manufacturing costs.

Thanks"

Rob (former NXMX5) is a long time forum member and has experience with this mod. I'm sure it can be done but I would listen to his advice. The MOMO steering wheel looks nice but that air bag is a good thing to have... especially with NOS.

is that the 6004 hub? you have to drill out some parts of the hub just to get it on the car, and even then youll be driving around with no stability control, no turn signals, and obviously no airbag. Youll also have an airbag warning light and an ESP/BAS error light. the only thing youll be able to salvage is the horn. I have some pics on my other computer. I can upload them if you want --
