i live all the way in missouri and can't go but would love it if the members took tons of pictures and posted the event it sounds like it is going to be very exciting. i would love to see 1/4 mile numbers, dyno graphs, and jerry working on the vehicles.

Everything is shaping up. I will meet with Jim this week and head over to the Dyno facility. Friday night we will meet with JerryAMG to go over last minute details.

I got to tell you all that even putting together a group of this size and organizing it is a lot of work. A lot of phone calls and very time consuming. My hats go off to SilverFox, Valk and John, The TOY and everyone else that has put together a GTG. Until you do it you have no idea. Many attaboys your way.

I can relate since when I lived in Minnesota, I was a mod on a compact car forum and did a lot of work like this. A lot of time being spent during your spare time helping out as much as you can for our fellow members. I even got an award for "Outstanding member of the year" back in 2005, which I am very proud of till this day. So congrats to all of you for getting this together... It is well appreciated.... 5 DAYS AND COUNTING!

CLARIFICATION REQUOTE OF PREVIOUS POST

OK ladies and gentleman.

The cost of the tune is $499. Lets just call it $500.00
The cost of the Dyno will be $100.00

The dyno is optional and this will be used if we want a custom tune. Meaning...........

A. Jerry will tune your XF... cost $500
B. We will put it on the Dyno.... cost $100.
C. Jerry will retune the XF to maximize its performance. Add another $50.00 for Jerry's expertise.

Total cost will be between $500 - $650

Considering it cost me $500 for the tune plus the cost of Fed-Ex'g the ECU to Jerry, my cost was around $600. Then of course I had it Dyno'd before the CAI and after the 1st tune and guess what? I spent $700. And was without an XF for two days. And I would like another Dyno for comparison.

I think it is a pretty good deal. Plus, we get to pick Jerry's brain. Such a deal..........

We will or should I say that Jerry will need to know what your mods are.

Today is the last day for payment. If you don't pay the total today ($499), then no tuning will be done. It takes me time to create the tunes and with 10 to do, I need all the time I can get.

I can't wait for Saturday! I went to the strip last night and ran my best times yet (without a tune). Got a 12.66 on my first pass (previous best was 12.84). I usually run around a 12.9. I learned you really need to do a good burnout with the Goodyear GS-D3's to get them nice and sticky. Can't wait for the tune so I can run in the fast lanes!
