Default New Grill

There are these grills for our cars on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem=

The pic is also attached.

I have a Graphite Gray Metallic Crossfire. I am thinking of buying the grill package and powder-coating either a shiny flat black or Graphite Gray Metallic. I think it is just too much chrome for my taste otherwise. Let me know what you think would look better on my car. I need suggestions... really undecided.

Thanks,

Steve

Agreed bro... a bit too much chrome with the rest of the car having brushed accents. IMO, a modification should be noticeable but not glaring... there's a fine line and it's very subjective.

Kinda like a boob-job. They're ALL fake, some simply look much better than others. All in the fit & finish

Agreed. I prefer the OEM grill, too. The three horizontal bars match the "gill" vents in the front quarter panels. This grill reminds me of the Harley Davidson edition F-150.

My 2 cents...

wow! I was JUST looking at these on ebay, somehow it just looks like to much effort in the wrong direction. IMO chrome on our cars should be limited to the front and rear and maybe just a touch here and there to connect the "eye flow" I think a custom grill would set your ride apart and is a good idea but keep the balance. great luck to you

It kinda makes me the think "big chromed out screen door for a car" look.
I like the stock grille.............color matched to the body.

Have you considered the chrome overlay from CTC Germany?

Another no vote here. Since my HE cooling is currently marginal this would be a no-no. Too much air restriction.
Maybe on a 300.

Has anyone installed the CTC chrome grill overlay? Chrome plastic or stainless steel? Was it a true fit? Don

It's chrome plastic parts that fits over the OEM grill.

I would have to agree with you guys, I am not feeling this one either. The OEM grille looks more decent than this one.

Wow guys. Get ill for a couple months and the wolves come out. Everyone has a right to their opinion, but the grille installed looks much better in person than in the pics (actually that is my car in the photo) Everyone who has seen it in person thinks it looks very nice.

Interesting to see so many quiet owners of the grille as well. I have sold over 50 grilles to forum members to date and have got tons of positive feedback.

It isn't for everyone, and that is good. Think of all those people who hate the looks of the Crossfire. To them I say fine! It makes mine more unique.

BTW anyone interested I will be posting a new special on the grilles in the next week.

Oh well if you own one SIX, then that's different!
I like it now!
No really, guess I'd have to see it in person like you said.
Nice to see you back!

Have you ever seen one of those spiderweb grilles?

I wonder how that would look on the Crossfire?

There could be that batmobile Crossfire and a Spidermanhoopti, with spiderman logo emblems.

I would not go back to the stock grill whatsoever. Too plain and makes the car blend in with too many others on the road from the front. I am with SRT Six, I like mine.

I'm pretty sure that FP has the chrome overlay... but then again, he may have some secret plastic chroming shop in his basement or something....
