Default Broken keys - Need help!

I have an M35 and an FX35 and never have to worry about the keys because of the push-button start, but now with the Crossfire, I drop my keys at least twice a day. Now, both of my keys have broken off and now I'm leaving them everywhere.

Does anyone have a solution to the broken key fix? Can I buy new keys on eBay and just replace the case? Any ideas. Please don't reply back with something smart like - stop dropping your keys.

Take your VIN # to the dealer and have them order you one. And, stop dropping your keys.

How much does the key cost, roughly. I know its not gonna be cheap lol.

I know its cheaper if you program it yourself though.

it is cheaper to buy a new fob on ebay and transfer your fobs chip into the new one. then reinstall your blade.

but if you broke the blade your screwed and will have to orde a new key from the dealer.

If the case is all that's bad, yes. That way there's no programing, cutting involved. Kind of a pricey lesson though.

Thanks guys.

Is there a HOW-TO or something on replacing the chips/blade/etc. I can replace the batteries pretty well!

Let me know, otherwise I'll go McGuiver and make a How-to myself.

Take care!

yes, a member here did a full break down of our key fob. with step by step procedures with pictures, you'll have to search around for it as I can't find it, yet I did save it to my memory stick.

Now that we've got that all resolved... why are you dropping your keys so much? And do you then step on them after you drop them that you now have two broken keys? I am very worried about you. You may have some form of anti-key holding disease and require professional help! lol
