Sts Turbo 5 Psi With Out Tune.can It Be Done?
Im about to buy a sts rear mount turbo system, but wont have the money to find out how to tune it. Will I blow my motor with just 5 psi. I will be putting larger injectors from TVT.

I suggest you save some more money and read a little more about turbocharging.
Corky Bell's "Maximum Boost" is an excellent read.

I boosted (DIY rear mount turbo) a stock fuel injected 92 Camaro 5.0 with 5 lbs of boost. No other mods other than an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. No issues except for some blow-by cuz the engine was a bit tired.
NO turbo lag and the sound of the turbo spooling up is just soooo sweeeeeeet!
I'd do it. Just don't get greedy and try for 10 lbs!

I don't know if 21 lbs is enough but Deep Stage said 19.2 lbs was not enough. They do a turbo every 3 days there. Also, the STS turbo will do 7 psi on a v6 so why 5? The turbo will hangle up to 12 psi too.
5 psi sounds safe for a stock set up!
I had a probe GT that I ran 6lbs of boost on with a stock setup for years and had no problem! The car ran a little lean at time, but it was not smart to boost in 5th gear!
On my Probe GT-ZE that was rated at 200 hp with high compression. I have friends that have ran 6lbs of boost on theres with no tune and made over 300hp.
Nevertheless, a good tune does wonders to the way the car run and power gains!
