Default Sprint Booster difference or not?

I've tried sifting through some of the threads about what the Sprint Booster does or doesn't do and the question I was looking for is has anyone tested this product on a vehicle at the track. I'm looking for times with and without if anyone has them. Some have said there cars feel noticeably quicker and etc but do we have any proof on this?

Thanks, Sean.

Do not buy one yet as a member of this forum is going to make one as an experiment when he has the time. The estimated cost will be $20-$30 tops. If you really would like the real thing after trying the DIY version you can go out and pay 10 times that much and you will know exactly what you are getting and that one will come in a nice box.

Wwweelll....the box IS pretty nice!

It's an expensive little thing and it just makes your acceleration feel quicker/more prompt to your foot input. If our brother can make one, it will be a good thing for all.

Except for those of us who already coughed up the $300!

I'll wait for the $20-30 version. Oh what the hell, I'll even pay $40.

count me in on the $30 version. There was even talk of building in a simple way to make adjustments on the fly for fine tuning, we will see....

it's total crap, has very poor throttle resolution, too choppy for me. stock it best, If you get the ECU tune I'm sure it will improve alot.

the Bosch TB's are know for lag in stock oem cars, they improve significantly with forced induction as airflow increases.

its an expensive little tool to simply get the throttle body to open more quickly, reducing lag...someone is going to try to duplicate it for a few bucks...but a tune will take it out as well...had I know the tune would have done it, I wouldn't have purchased the SB...we shall see what the knock off will do...but if you want to get rid of the lag, then tune, SB, or wait to see if the knock off will work...I haven't seen anything cheap yet, so this may be the first...we shall see....not going to get into another debate on this, the 300 buck part works for me...but it is 300 bucks, the tune is around 500 plus, so fingers crossed for the knock off...

this throttle by wire stuff, sometimes I just wish I could see a linkage to a carburetor. I just installed a new mikuni on my Harley, now that has no throttle lag....now for the bottle cap, what happens when you bend it....

i will wrap 6 quarters with some duc tape and sell it to you for $199.99 plus $59.95 shipping and handling. It should increase your cars performance as much as the sprint booster and you will not have to worry about it bending like the bottle cap. it is also a little cheaper than the sprintbooster so it is a win/win situation for you!

Maybe you could fork up $20 or $40 and show some real support here in your arena of entertainment.

no thanks

also, just trying to save someone $300 from wasting money on something that gives zero performance gains by using some humor but since the sprintbooster is so silly i think it just may be funny enough without me joking about it lol!

By "amuse us " I was referring to your "SUPER SPECIAL IMPORTANT MEMBER" self made title which you have now removed but had appeared as I copy and pasted it above.

I am not sure anyone here other than yourself thinks that.
It appears to me to be your way of mocking those of us us who felt that a small $$ contribution to our admin. here was warranted.
It's not about getting my screen name bold and underlined either.

It is certainly to each persons discretion as to whether they donate or not.
This site has been beneficial to a lot of us and I am happy to support it with a $40 donation.
It my way of returning thanks to Julian for all he has provided for six years at no cost to anyone here.

Now your welcome to get in the last word again as you always need to do in every single post made to you.

lol you can feel free to take that any way you want, i just stuck something silly in my location field. I took it out since it appeared to be causing you some stress. No mocking was intended by posting something in my location field, i find it quite odd that anyone would take it that way. people type silly things like that in their location field all the time over on my site and i have yet to single them out or attack them over it.

as for donating, I appreciate the information on this site and enjoy visiting it. However at this time, like the majority of members on this site I have not chose to become a paying member at this point in time. I see many members including what appears to be a mod or 2 that have not donated as of yet as well. I feel that I contribute plenty on this site, I can post up many examples if you would like. there are many members here that contribute and there are many members here that do not contribute. i feel that everyone should be entitled to state their opinion otherwise you would lose a lot of valuable information on the site for people to decide for themselves on a subject, a part or a modification. You will have a large variety of opinions and personalities on a web forum, that is what makes a site fun and interesting. If everyone was the same and had the exact same opinion it would get boring and repetitive very fast.

as for the sprintbooster it is my opinion that it is a huge waste of money as do many others on here. some people have the opinion that the sprintbooster is a great power mod, some do not.

since this is a forum and that is what forums are for I do not see any issues with responding to your post. If no one responded to posts made to them then that would defeat the entire point of a web forum would it not, lol? I am sure you respond to posts made to you on here all the time. Every thread on this site has responses to posts does it not?

Regardless, I hope that my response caused you no offense or issues since it was not intended to do so.
