tvt 265 gains???
I am very close to purchasing the tvt 265 kit, but I was just curious what kind of real world difference it makes. What kind of cars can you actually mess around with, with the kit? It is either the tvt kit, or a full exhaust and power commander and air filter for the zx14. Pretty close to the same price either way. Any advice is appreciated! Actual time differences like 0-60, or 1/4 mile times, would be great. Thanks chris
You can feel a difference. I will have mine dyno'd this summer just to know, but it feels faster. I don't track my car, but I drove one without it recently, and that's when I noticed the difference.

good luck getting an answer on how much faster people get the N/A's no one really tells what they have gained. no one with these kits says what their 0-60 is now or their quarter mile times. thats why i havent bought anything yet. im waiting til someone can actually say well i gained this much.... i know everyones gains are diff. but its still good to know what others are getting.
I have no actual experience with the tvt 265 kit, but it seems to me an actual 50hp increase should give you more than a 3/10's improvement in the 1/4 mile.
I mean the NeedsWings CAI (alone) knocks off nearly a 1/2 second in the 1/4 mile, and I'm sure it doesn't create any where near that much of a H.P. increase.

if you guys do a little searching one of the members here as posted dyno numbers with some of TVT's mods. i cant remember exactly off the top of my head but it was somthing like 214 whp. which is 39hp over stock!
with such a light car 50 hp, has to make a significant improvement, in real world envoirnments. I have a friend at work with a mustang gt. It is the model before they went to the 3 valve engine, and he can hang, but not pass. It would just be nice to here before and after results. I could feel a difference just changing out the air filter on my cobra. which might have been 3-5 hp. chris

thanks for the comments. I think I might have to wait and see what our crappy economy is going to do. I work for a company that make electronic connectors, for almost any kind of application, including military, and nasa, and things have definately slowed down. And the money I planned on spending this kit, has been going towards new tires for the bike I replaced the back tire, and within 30 miles already had a puncture. and this key issue. Hopefully soon I can get serious about getting the kit. chris

Just something to think about.

I just took some vids last night from 0-100mph, I'll try to get them posted but for now you can look at this https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...era-mount.html
