warranty
I have a 2004 coupe with 53000 miles.. I am the second owner.. when i purchased the car the dealer told me that i have the remaining 7year/70000 mile warranty.. can someone tell me what this covers. The reason i am asking is that i have a ticking type noise upon acceleration in the rear passenger side. not sure what it is and if i have it checked out will it be covered under warranty. the car also has a humming noise while driving down the highway.. is this normal? thanks for all replys
Depends. If that is the original warranty that comes on the car, which I think means you would have to live in California, its basically the drivetrain/basic so pretty much bumper to bumper...
If it is the extended max. warranty which is what im betting it is... Then it too is basically bumper to bumper with a $100 deductible after services... It covers it all... Supercharger, AC, Exhaust... anything that can malfunction in or out of the car that is not the direct result of aftermarket parts or something like abuse (I.E. cutting a hole for a speaker) or some accident..
So basically either way your pretty much in the clear, unless the prev. owner purchased a lower warranty which would have you at a loss when it comes to alot of stuff (800 components compared to 5000) but im betting you have the max...
Soo take it in let them take a look or take it in ask what kind of warranty you have anddd thennn let them take a look =O... also, its prob a good time to take it in and let them make sure the intercooler pump is working, valve cov. isnt leaking.. etc... Hope that helps...

You may call your Chrysler dealer (or any other Chrysler dealer) and they will input your VIN into their computer and advise you of what exist for your car.....

If it's 7/70 drivetrain covers engine, trans and rear diff. No suspension parts, no electrical, no wear and tear items, not even the brakes after the 3/36 warranty. So, I doubt you're covered for this unless it's an engine problem. The humming could be tire noise which is terrible depending on what kind of pavement you're on. Concrete is the worst.
