Default CD Storage

Has anyone worked out a way to store CD's in the unadorned center console so that you can still close the lid without difficulty?

Actually, I found a decent hard-cased metal "Wallet" style (just at Meijer), holds 24 CD's. Don't remember the brand straight off, either "Atlanta" or "Atlantic", but you can't miss the heavy metal case amid leather and acrylics on the shelves. I perfer the solid cases to the leather or cloth "books" for durability and safety, and it matches the "metallic" interior very well. It also fits perfectly in the center box between the seats (doesn't rattle or move at all).

I bought one of the wallets and put a key ring on the zipper and hook the ring onto the latched hooks that are above the center console along the back wall between the seats. It's easy to get to but doesn't go flying when you're racing...

Anyone know what those two hooks are for, anyway? (Too lazy to look it up in the manual).

Umbrellas? Are you serious or just teasing? I've never heard of that before...but then again, it never rains in California.

Thanks for the info!

Mighty is right about the umbrella as explained in the owners manual. I also own a 1989 Chrysler Maserati TC Coupe, and they came from Maserati with a logoed Maserati umbrella in the hooks under the rear cover. Too bad they didn't include one with the Crossfire. But if I had a choice of an umbrella or a set of luggage for free with the car, guess which one I would choose! Harleygeiorge

The luggage *is* cool, but I would imagine that the only thing that fits into a Maserati (besides people) is an umbrella!

Interestingly, the Chrysler TC by Maserati has approximately twice the trunk capacity of the Crossfire, plus a full size spare tire stored in a lockable compartment just behind the two passenger seats, where the umbrella and a tool kit were also placed.
