While preparing to wash the car I wiped the back and the 2 letters got caught on the wipe and one bent and the other came off in my hand. The dealer placed the letter back on with a tape product and I ordered a replacement for the bent letter. I cannot believe that these are easily removable. So much for quality detail.

 

I think using these kinds of adhesives are pretty much standard practice at all price points these days.

 

I had to replace one of my side gills for a defect and it was held on by double sided tape and a couple clips.The tape held to the fender like crazy glue and was very hard to remove.This tape is used on most new cars and if applied correctly works pretty good.There has been a few problems with the xfire plant workers not getting all the protective tape off the sticky part of the emblems.Check your hood emblem they had problems with the tape on the edges not holding.
