Default Steering wheel centered?

I was wondering if anyone with a crossfire has a steering wheel that is not quite centered. The wheel is biased to the left when driving on relatively flat road surfaces. I am going to take it to the dealer and have them do an alignment.

Mine Is just a bit to the right but it tracks strait and feels ok. It's probably OK but if it bothers you, have it checked out

Mine is straight, but I must not be straight, or sit funny or something, because I have a much better view of the gas gauge than I do of the tach. Don't know what that's about, but nothing I do fixes it. I'm used to it now so I don't really care. Just seems strange to me.

Actually I did test drive my car, and I did notice that the wheel did not seem centered, but having only driven the car for 15km I was not sure that it was not just the roads that I was driving on. I though maybe just the crown of the road was making me steer the car more to the left. But know that I have had the car for a week end and put a little over 200km on the car it is obvious that the steering wheel is not centered. Oh and by the way I am not in a panic as I am fully aware that this is not a serious problem that can be fixed with an alignment. I was just wondering if perhaps someone else out there had noticed a similar problem.

both cars I test drove at the dealership where to the left. i was enough to the left that I noticed it right off the bat. The one they pulled from a dealership that I bought is dead center.

If mine was *** much off as the ones I tested i would have had then realign it with the wheel set straight.

When I brought mine to the dealership for alignment and wheel balancing, they told me that the pulling to the right is a safety measure in case you fall asleep. Avoid the head-on and drive straight to the cliff

sorry for the confusion...

the cars I test drove did not pull... the steering wheel was to the left to go straight. It was like they did not put the wheel straight when the did the orginal alignment....

Getting it centered is a major pain in the @ss. I had my steering wheel replaced (was scratched). The new one was supposed to go on straight. However, that wasn't the case. It was a little off. I had my car realigned. It still isn't perfect, but good enough.

It is a pain to get it perfectly centered. The little slack in the steering doesn't help. I was there through the entire alignment process. It doesn't pull, just a hair off to the left.

I had to turn my steering wheel to the right to go striaght. Took it to the dealer, they remounted the wheel, all is good.

No sweat.

My steering wheel was 'off center' as well. Took it to the dealer for alignment...it is now perfect.

Default Steering wheel off center

I recently ran over some debris in the road and distroyed a tire. The dealer put on a new tire and the car needed an alignment. The dealer tells me that they do not have the proper tools for the alignment on a crossfire. A wheel expander tool is needed. Has anyone else experienced this situation? They did a standard alignment but the steering wheel if off center to the left a lot. The dealer is trying to find the tool.

I had the same experience. Needed to replace a 19" tire and wheel, ouch, very expensive. The dealer had to find a special apparatus to balance the tire. They did and got the job done. I learned later that stores that sells and services Michelin and Continental tires could also handle the job.
