Potential Future Aftermarket Products for Crossfires

Regarding the front bumper/diffusers, I think the vast majority of us want something that adds a bit of function and some improved styling, all while retaining a somewhat factory look. In other words, keep it classy, San Diego.
You seem to only want things that would make the car non-drivable for most daily tasks... something best left for one-off situations, not necessarily as a design study for an already strangled aftermarket.
Clean, classy, universally PRACTICAL... those will be traits of a bumper that not only gets produced, but also sells.
And you seem to be obsessed with JGTC... seems to me like you've bought the wrong car. The Crossfire is a touring coupe with a smooth drivetrain and unique, classy styling... not a Japanese sports car.
If you're going to take the uphill path of turning a touring coupe into a proper sports car, at least reference DTM,which would be closer to the Mercedes heritage... not JGTC.
All JGTC cars are race cars, but not all race cars are JGTC.
Nitpicky, yes.... but I had to say it.

The only way to have hardcore performance parts built for a car that has none is to have a nutcase like me
and I reference JGTC because most of the cars are production, and not purpose built chassis like DTM, which is getting rather bleh these days.

I dont care if its carbon or fg, the science of speed stuff isnt autoclaved, its just wet layup..
I could make a mold for that in about a week if i could do anything other than lay down.
not to mention taitek makes it in multiple pieces which cuts down on cost and the difficulty of mold making

If you have all the right stuff (read: a FG shop, all the tools, employees and capital) you could probably make them in a week. Jonny and I did this stuff for a long time and the only thing that's easy about this stuff is turning off the shop lights before you leave.
and I have to agree, the easiest, and best part is cutting off the lights at our shop, although that usually involves me getting body checked by a car or two on the way out.
Getting materials to have them made isnt the issue, nor is the manpower. Its motivation, at least for me.

I like a practical sports coupe, with a nice subdued Euro exhaust note, that handles well but can still be driven anywhere it needs to go. I don't do *****-out driving on the street -- too much can happen. I also don't enjoy pissing people off; instead, I do my best to be approachable and cordial when the questions come pouring in about my classy coupe. I'd rather hear "what kind of car is that? It's gorgeous!" than, "what kind of maniac could take the punishment from that ride?" or, "what maniac is behind the wheel?"
I know that's why they make vanilla and chocolate, but we are kinda doing a design study for what would be most palatable for the majority of the Crossfire owners out there.
We're not cool enough to do "*****-out driving" that pisses everyone off. If we were, we'd probably need a full-blown carbon race diffuser to keep us glued.
To each his own. Stay safe. Crossfires make wonderful cars; terrible caskets.
I totally understand where both of you are coming from. These are just some of the things I would like to see produced, different bumper covers... nothing as wild as a full widebody kit would ever get made, thats just fact (one can wish, right?)
Different styles is what makes the car scene so much fun

I have to disagree about a wide body kit having to be wild. MANY of them out there are pretty wild, but they can be classy and mild as well. The kit I have in my mind is definately NOT wild looking. It would just pull out the fenders a bit and have the body line that is currently continued in the arch if the fenders blended to nothing, creating a more classic roadster look. I do know what you are talking about though, there are some pretty drastic looking widebody kits out there, but IMO, few of the wild ones look like they really belong. If they did, I wouldn't call them wild though. LOL
Rudy, you and Jonny made something......what was that....lol....give me a call buddy...I have zero time right now, so everything is on hold....and I have a lot to do...well, not a lot...but, body parts I don't need...took my painter 3 weeks to paint the bumper cover...can't even imagine how long he would take to paint the car....lol

Oh, DUH!!! We forgot the most obvious NEED for tens of thousands of coupe owners here. This will be a gold mine if you can get it done. A SUNROOF with glass that fits the car! Very few will mess up that center spine to put one in. If you can get the glass to match that center spine somehow and keep it affordable, I am sure you would sell a TON. Or bring back the T-tops. Even two small sunroofs to go in each side of the spine. Something to let the sun in!
there's a Gold coupe that was around here sometime ago with a Sunroof. I think he was from Virginia?? Sunroof would disrupt the center spine, so how about instead, T-Tops?? Keeping the center spine above

I think you misread my post. I was suggesting a sunroof with a spine to match. I too have seen a crossfire with a sunroof, but the glass was not shaped to march the spine, so I did not like. T-tops would be cool, but I personally would make that my last choice to let the sun in. I don't wanna have manually remove them and have to store them in the car somewhere. There are people out there that can do the glass bending. they do make custom windshieds etc. We have over 3 feet of roof there, so we should be able to easilly fit a sunroof over 30 inches wide and 16 inches deep in there, while still allowing it to fold back into the roof. Of course, it could take up even more of the roof, but any deeper would have it opening up outside the car. I don't know how that would look on these cars.

its impossible to shape glass like that, not to mention a sunroof with a big *** hump in the middle wouldnt be retractable. you could make it out of lexan or plexi, but it would be the pop up type.
t-tops are too much work, lots of cutting, tweaking, etc. plus you have to find someone to be the first victim and be ready to order them a new roof skin or possibly a new car car depending on how bad it goes

Didn't you say your Dad has a shop? If all of these things are so easy, why haven't you been making them for everyone? You seem to know how to do all the things necessary to make this happen?

Right now my back is preventing me from doing anything other than eating. Once I get my back fixed and get back to work I'll start building some things. I have tons of parts lined up to make just no money and I'm physically unable right now
