We own a 2004 (Coupe, of course) and a 2005 Limited Roadster.
This is the number on the Bosch Camshaft Position Sensor that has been in the 2004 since new: BOSCH A 004 153 69 28
However, this is the different number on the Bosch Camshaft Position Sensor that has been in the 2005 since new: BOSCH A 004 153 96 28
Is it true that indeed upon replacement that the 2005-2008 Bosch will not work in the 2004 ?
Please advise what brand and part number works well in your 2004.
As always, many thanks in advance !

The numbers you quote are Mercedes part numbers. The numbers in red are the update numbers that is what I recall. The same part fits all years of Crossfires, I have never seen different numbers quoted for different years.
Bosch part# 0 232 103 037.
