Rigidity increase
Happy Monday everyone!
I've been meaning to get info on this for a long time, but it just now registered to post this morning. Steve and I were tossing around the idea of installing the roadster underbody braces on the coupe, for even MORE chassis rigidity than what I already have. I looked and we already have the holes in the floor pan, they're just covered with deadener.
Anyone know the part number for these pieces?

I took a Cialis pill as a dare back in college (the more you learn, the dumber you are), it didn't end well. Should have sold tickets.

As I have often warned in the political forum, one should be carefull about how they title their threads.
I believe you wanted advice about stiffening your Crossie.
Although it will make changing your exhaust out more complicated I can't imagine tha it will make much of a difference. I mean the strut is so small, I am surprised it actually stiffens the Roadster.
But then as a packaging engineer, I have to admire the devilish industructability of a blister packed pair of scissors.

Back on topic......
I think you would basically be throwing your money away John.
I read somewhere that the XF coupe already has more torsional rigidity than a 911 Porsche has (which is saying quite a bit).
Unless you plan on turning your Crossfire into strictly a "track" car, I wouldn't bother adding the extra weight, because it's really not necessary.
Save the money and put it towards another performance upgrade, or an appearance modification. I think you will get far more enjoyment out of something like that.

Cost would be a big determining factor... If I can get these braces for under $100, it's worth a shot. Otherwise, I would have to agree with you. I still need to get the SRT-6 fascia for a more balanced look.

Look for a blue diamond shaped pill, available from any decent pharmicist or online from 10,000 dealers - not that I know anything about that, of course.
