Default Outer Tie Rod End

My left Tie-Rod end need replacement. I will replace left and right.

I just call Chrysler, they do not sold tie rod end apart of all the tie rod assembly (inner+outer). They price that 630$ CAN !!

Then I call Mercedes... outer tie rod end for SLK320 2004 = 53$ CAN.

Is this part will fit on my 2005 roadster? I guess yes but just want to make sure.

UPDATE on 2011-04-25:
Part fit A1, no issue. 45 minutes to change both.

Mercedes part number, bought at Duval Mercedes-Benz (Boucherville, Canada):
2 x Outer tie rod end - 001 330 77 35 (0013307735) - 52,75$ CAN
2 x Self locking nut 910113-012002 (910113012002) - 1,74$ CAN

Look it up for a 2002-03, the 2004 is the newer body style.

Newer body style was in 2005 for Canada. I live in Canada.

I think that it was 2004 for USA.

The part that I order was for SLK320, not SLK350.

Many will say to stick with the foreign made parts but I found that RockAuto carries the Moog rod ends which are as good as they get. Reasonably priced too.

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/rafr...partnum=ES3317

Clicking on the "ES3317" verifies that this fits the SLK320 and SLK32 AMG; same as the Xfires.
Click on "info" to view part info.

Update: You'll notice that the Moogs are "beefier" than the common Meyle and Lemforder made replacement ends...
