My coworker sent me that link. $120 dual intake. I didn't want to blow $120, but for the fun of it, I made a $75 offer...................and they accepted it.

I guess I have a new shiny $75 paper weight.. I don't know that it will even be worth the time to install.. from my understanding, the factory intakes go behind the grille.. whereas this one seems to sit directly in front of the motor.

 

You bought a "hot air intake"...

 

A lot of the forum members do have hot air intakes.. Amazes me..
But he could just extend the pipes somehow.

 

That type of intake is useless considering that you already have an airbox with it's own air filters. At least the factory tubes extend out of the engine area. This is two steps back.

 

I dunno I know alot of srt4 guys liked short ram intakes just because they didnt have to worry about hydrolocking. Personally I dont like sucking hot air in but to each their own.

 

Osofast and John Book have experience with these style of intakes and it has not been pretty. Both John and Rays cars had failures in the MAF sensor area while running an intake like these. I would recommend not putting them on unless you are showing the car. Just my opinion.
