Gold "trim" is so overused to "luxury-up" cars these days... Ohhh my beige Camry has the gold package.... bleck..
Close...but no cigar. I was referring to the the Desoto Aventurer, and the Plymouth Fury.
I wasn't talking about the gold bling "crap" you see on Toyotas and Hondas, I was talking about a true Black and Gold "theme" cars. Mopars not withstanding.
Remember the Hertz Shelby Mustang, the Cosworth Vega, Black and Gold 70's Trans Ams, Hurst Olds, Hurst Grand Prix's etc?
I think with all the talent, and imagination on this forum, somebody could come up with a tastefully done "Black & Gold" theme car that wouldn't come off looking like some "Pimp Daddy's" wet dream.
Anyway, back to the OP's original question. Copper, or "Turbine Bronze" on the Crossfires trim would be a refreshing change to the oh so common, "Men in Black, FBI Stake out, Dipped in Tar" look.

Well, I just grabbed a great old mopar at random, I was close.
Hoping to have something that will have the same kind of impact that those cars had when they were new. The idea is that you don't see cars done in copper, and the black XF coupe is the perfect pallete for it. (in my humble opinion.)
Will be talking to my painters soon to get a quote, and will likely try to hit up a local powdercoater too, and see what they can do.
(This is quickly becoming an appereance related thread. Mods, please move if warrented.)
