Ok here goes, i have a SRT6 the battery died on my wife and left her stranded we had the car pulled home and i changed the battery out. Now my key fobs will not lock or unlock the car. The car will start for about 2 to 3 seconds and shut off. It will do this 2 to 3 times and then nothing , until i unplug the battery and then it will just do the same thing again. Also my radio, and cluster do not turn on but everything else works fine. Checked all the fuses all are fine. Also when i manualy turn the key in the door lock it does not beep like before. Before the car broke down it was throwing a cel because of a bad o2 sensor. Please help this is my dd Thank u!!

 

did you get a new battery or something lying around?

 

If you replaced the battery with a new battery, then you have other issues for sure. Is the CEL for certain the O2 sensor, and not something else? If the O2 sensor, then lets move on to threads that cover SKREEN, or even possibly, Mystery No Start, which is the RCM, or Relay Control Modul. You use the search feature to find these threads about those issues. I am on the road as usual, but maybe someone who is at home can load these threads for you...but, you need to have a new battery, and check to make sure your battery cables are good as well...cars are very sensitive to voltage....

 

I bought a brand new battery, also i tried the hole reset the keys by hitting the lock or unlock button twice then turing by 30 seconds nothing. It was deff the o2 sensor just had it checked. I had a problem a couple months ago with the cam sensor and changed it. When that happened though the car would not start at all. I just put in a new fuel filter and fuel pump because my car is nickel and diming me but i hear it priming. I would be very PLEASED if some one can help me with this thank u!!

 

If you just changed out the filter and the pump, I've heard of some pumps being defective. Priming sound may occur but it may not actually be pumping. Hard to say what may be going on but don't rule it out.

The car is not recognizing the key and after several attempts, its locking down and locking you out. Do some research on the key fob and its battery, I had my durango lock me out, PITA.

The Relay Control Module or RCM i think is my problem after reading a 13 page forum great info tore it out and my rcm points look real bad. Going to try to buy a ne one tomorrow. Ill let you guys know what happens. Thanks for the help!!

 

Put the new rcm in and the car turned over twice and shut off then nothing. I need this fixed asap any help would be aesome!! Also my key fobs do not unlock or lock the doors anymore and my dash lights do not come on

 

Did you ever figure out what the problem was?? My car just started doing the exact same thing today. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

Storm is no longer active on this forum. He got in his Crossfire and it locked him in and he starved to death. Beware of electrical problems.
