Default I have been MIA for some time here is why.... PICS inside...

Been planning the complete system for some time debating size of cpu footprint and screen options so here is the finished product of my months of planning and preping the car for wiring.

No cds any more no dvd.... all divx avi files for video and mp3 ogg etc. for sound.

power is controlled by morex dc-dc internal power supply in the cpu pictured below. Startup and shutdown card/voltage controller is mounted inside the box too.

I would never suggest this job for the faint hearted from beginning to end it took over a month and thank god I have another daily driver. Enjoy the pics....

I am working on the full schematic... I stayed with the stock speakers and crossover. No taping the wire harness completely reversable with new faceplate and rear carpet... small price to pay if you ask me...

PS all you audio buffs.... less THD than our stock setup and for you budget minded people... I did it all for under $1,200 including loom and hard to find all black cabling for cpu.

custom fiberglass and lots of patience.

It cools down just fine I use the foot and front vent setting and with the middle ones now blocked... the side ones compensate just fine.

Looks really good. Is that monitor touch screen, or how do you select things on it? What kind of computer is it? Might be a perfect replacement for my entertainment center in the house.

SWEET !
That is gorgeous!!

For those who need center vents:
Incorporate the functions as a touchscreen choice.
put it where the ashtray, large no airbag indicator(worthless), cigar lighter is.

Wonderful work...I'll say it again "SWEET"

All I have got to say is, that is IMPRESSIVE. Great modification, couldn't think of a better idea or setup. Question now: are you running windows or linux?

SPEECHLESS!!

I will take one, if you can also change the red hazard button so it matches the console facia.

Can it run Media Player? The visualizations would be fantastic in a car.

Does it affect the warranty? (Probably a stupid question)

How do you deter thieves? (Probably a good question)

I am running Win Xp with Bootvis.msi every so often to get boot time below 40 seconds. I am running 18 services at present. The car is using a i-trek GPS mouse for the sat.nav receiver and routis embedded ... Mediacar for the front end app. for all media and nav interface.

Coyote Mediacar website

Skin website

example of skin:

My console is a one off hard to craft unit. It is custom and I did have to buy 2 other face plates and canablize them to get the one. The center console had to be completely removed to mount the monitor.... Not for the mechanically un-suited.

Color matched from PBE friend and fabricater guru Rick and Brian here in Ohio.

You guys in europe may want to use Copilot or destinator instead of Routis.
