I would like to see someone come out with a replacement exhaust that would make it a true dual exhaust all the way back from the Cat.s to the 2 seperate mufflers and use the same tips. It doesn't looh like it would be that big of a deal.

You would lose low end torque if we wen to a full dual exhaust... When you Y it then you get some pressure build up that helps us down there..

The tips borla is going to use on our kit are not round and should look good..

An H pipe will take care of that. I don't think there would be any loss at all in torque or extremely negligible.

I just found a site that lists the borla for our car and it says it has the dual round rolled tips not the Dual Square Angle cut ones I thought the final one would have...

http://www.ajusa.com/cgi-bin/borla/d...083&products=1

bummer...

That site also has the Crossfire with a 3.3 L V6. Just a type-O I'm sure...

Anyone find out the results and the sound increase of the Borla exhaust! I have all my money saved up to get this! So im pumped to see the stats on HP and Torque increase!!!! im guessing with out system around 10 - 15 hp increase... and after the ECU unit and feeling that increase... im sure it will be about the same!

it's just a catback, you are not altering your manifold, air intakes or your fuel injectors so I would only expect 5-9 HP increase at the most, which is nothing a good driver could not make up for. After I hear it I will decide if I want it...

A friend of mine has Borla exhaust on his BMW M3 and the sound is not very impressive. There's another guy that autocrosses a M3 and he has Flowmaster and the sound is much better with the Flowmaster than the Borla. I want to see some performance numbers before I make up my mind on what to do next.

I do believe Borla's claim to fame is design and use of the best materials available ! As for how much really changes HP&sound, like the m3 witch had probably avery good system to begin with ,and the xf i would rather have a stock M.B. muffler than a Magnafow!

I have absolutely no clue as to what the point is that you were trying to make, Dan.

I never even mentioned Magnaflow.

For me Magnaflow sounds great for the Crossfire, eliminating the girlish sound the stock gave for a sports car. It's 1/4 the weight of the stock plus the direct airflow...these can give you more boast in your HP!

If Borla can come out with one better than Magnaflow...then I'll get Borla..if it makes me happy
