Ok, I've got my radio out, have found the bulb that has come away from the ash-tray box. Problem is, I can't see how to re-fit it. I can't get my fingers behind it enough to feel where it goes and I can't find a way to remove the ash tray. Any ideas?

 

I've found the section in the service manual. Looks like you have to remove all the gear shift surround to get to the two screws to remove the whole of the lower section. I tried quickly to remove the gear surround but couldn't. I also didn't want to damage the "silver paint" on it as it marks easily. I'll get my dealer to sort this one out as well when they have my car for the week.
