Post Windscreen Wipers

Hi , im new here and only had my crossfire a few weeks , just wanted to ask for some advice , when in use they are quite noisy , they work fine but when they get to top of stoke i.e upwards position its like a clunk(normal kind of noise you get from wipers but louder ) , doesnt sound mechanical , hard to explain , just wondered if they are generally like this , as most cars ive had before you do not hear them as loud. I have 6 weeks warranty , so need to know if they are quite audible when being used or they need looking at..

Kind Regards

They should be a quiet operation. Start by observing if anything interferes with them along the sweep range. Make use of your warranty

Some wiper blades "clunk" at the exact point that they fold over to change direction. If you have BOSCH ICON blades available to you....GET THEM. I use them on all my cars and love them.

Mine were starting to do this so I replaced them with these, seem fine so far.

This is exactly correct. Either the Bosch Icons, or I went with 100% silicone PIAA models with the Aero foils built on.

These have been on my car for 3 years. It's garaged, but WOW! That's a long time. A fellow member commented just last month on how they look, and was impressed with the longevity. The softer silicone formula conforms better then the Icons, which I tried.

Your choice, but the problem is the blades you have. Either too old or too stiff.
