DC Flashing Chips
I heard that if you have any problems, your DC dealer will flash the chip to restore the factory settings. Apparently, this will destroy any changes to the ECU chip.
Can anyone either confirm this as true or it is an old wives tale :?:
I would hate to spend all that money and have it deleted by the dealer

I had a similar thing with my Astra GSi (the car before the XFire) I had the ECU chipped, and when the car went in for Warranty work, they updated the ECU with the latest vauxhall information. This overwrote the 'custom' update I had, and put the car back to standard ECU settings.
Luckily the company that did my custom update resent it to me again free of charge.
I am not saying this is the same as DC, but potentially it could be I suppose !

There is actually a TSB out to flash the controller. If it is done with the proper equipment / software, it won't screw it up. I don't think you can even get into it without the necessary cables / software anyway.
