He offered you the catback for free or offered you the first catback if you let them use the car for free ??? Either way, it sounds like their getting close to releasing the product. Picture of tips and price would be great... Already have the product #

I'm on next monday i'll let everyone know how it sounds,and if the tips are done, i'm still suggesting to them on what XF owners like.If i don't like it you can make an offer i can't refuse!

He give you any stats yet Dan? like HP and what not being added? ... im guessing if Borla did it right it and for the price im sure its near the same as the Eisenhaus

Hi Bobba, I only asked a few ?s at the time but I do exspect that they want a stock Crossfire that they can do before and after #s ,I was told however that Germany has very strict noise restrictions on any after market exhausts!! So you might want to wait ! I exspect the Borla $ to be around 600-700.

If the Borla some how does add more HP then the 13 - 15hp the Eisenhaus will add.. I'll just pick up a Borla and sell the Eisenhaus! but im pretty sure they should be equal!!

I thought that might be the case, says Borla on all the parts, but that doesn't mean they made it. sounds and works fine. It also could have neen made for an SLK320, from what I have heard they are the same
Hope to see some photos of the "real Borla" when you get it.
Mine souds and performs great. If its the same as the production Borla I'll keep it. If not I'll have to modified. The only part that might not be there is the resinator. Also so for $200 I realy won't loose mush if I trash it and can spend a few hundred having it fixed if needed. The other thing and why I put it on is the fact that they put a picture of a Crossfire with a Borla system in Aug Motor trend could be a photo retough job, ????????

I'm meeting at the Borla shop Monday!
the picture is real but not the completed project as this is what they told me!
new tips are still part of the problem and final production.
I'm going to give them my idea's on the tips.
They also said it won't be out for at least another month!

I can understand that, bending the pipe is easy. Making a New Tip design is something else. A lot more enigneering and cost, I don't think any of Borla existing tips are oval what they call oval looks round to me. Bassani makes an oval tip that would work. But I don't thin they make their own tips probably an off the shelf product, Borla on the other hand has their Name on "stamped" on them Its either made by or for them - which takes longer. If Borla makes an oval tip I might change. But I like the round too, looks ok.

Actually I was surprised monday by my friend that another sales rep. had invited someone like he had me and I told him it didn't matter to me so no problemo!They will not have a finished product for at least another month!Today 7-27-04.Maybe 9-1

I just got off the phone with BORLA and they told me their system won't be available for "at least" another month........................ 
Only reason I posted is that everyone at BORLA seems to be on the same sheet of music!!!!!!!!!!!!
