Default Vacuum line under the battery holder

I have a 2005 convertable, 6 speed manual trans. Under the battery case I found a broken piece of small tubing. It goes from the fire wall under the battery case to I think the engine. I want to replace it but I don't know what it is for or exactly were it goes. I am not sure where to buy this small tubing, NAPA or the dealer.

I believe it's the vacuum line that operates the blend air door. There is another thread on here somewhere that talks about "splicing" it with a piece of vacuum line that has an ID that is the same OD of the gray tubing. You can get the "splice" tubing at any auto parts store and it will add a bit of flexibility to the factory tubing.

Good luck!

EDIT - here is the post I was talking about
