I know you can get the TB from http://carguts.com

Call them and make sure you are ordering part # A113 141 01 25

I bought 74mm TB from carguts a couple weeks back. $85. They have a 30 day return policy if it doesn't work for you; many used parts are in the bin for a reason. I have had one TB from another supplier which didn't work. It would not let the car idle properly. The one on the car now will occasionally rev at idle up to 1800 rpm. So if you get one, put it on the car as soon as you receive it; if there is a problem return it for another. IT CAN BE FRUSTRATING!!
I'm going to Atlanta tomorrow for a tune on a dyno and hope the idle problem will rectify itself after the "tune". That is wishful thinking; the better part of my brain tells me I will still have the occasional high revs. Time will tell.

From what I've read if you have the euro charged tune you have to get a reflash when you upgrade your tb.

I have been running a couple days now after the Euro Charged tune. The high idle seems to be gone and the car is idling properly. It was a four hour drive back to my house from Wizard Auto in Douglasville, GA. Most of that drive was on long open highways and interstates. I did not want the ECU "learning" to just cruise along, so I have been using the throttle hard for the past day around the house here. The car seems to be running and idling good; I am happy with the set up now and thank Rudy for getting me pointed in the right direction.
Donald at Wizard Automotive expected the high idle with the larger 74 mm TB installed and running with the original stock ECU; after the tune he expected everything to be OK and it does seem to be balanced and running properly. Wizard is a dealer for Euro Charged, so they are completely prepared to make the tune, and are very experienced with the Mercedes cars. I was in and out in 1.5 hours and they charged me $96 for their time; money well spent from my perspective.
I had tried the wireless tune with Euro Charged from my home. They sent me two cables which connect from my laptop to the cars OBD, but something wasn't correct. They never could make a connection to my car. Adam thought there was a problem with my computer, and asked if I could borrow a friends. I didn't like that idea so I made the drive up towards Atlanta to Wizard Auto. Donald thought perhaps the problem was in my "Home XP'" software as he runs a professional system on his computers with all firewalls and security precautions disabled. I just don't know what the hangup was with my computer, but do believe Euro Charged could do a better job as to informing customers as to the process and requirements to make their wireless connections.
My car is now running a Needswings single CAI, the cooler NGK iridium spark plugs and Magnecore 8.5 spark plug wires with the 74 mm TB.

GREAT !!!!!
You now seem to have the same setup I have, with the exception of the colder plugs.
Are you gonna try to make the Lineville Car Show this Sunday ?

so let me make a quick check list, order tb from carguts, install , immediately get retune? should i do this with a needs wings cai at the same time? does the tb mod have any adverse effects that would prevent me from driving it? and just to confirm once again , there are quantifiable hp benefits to doing this mod? im also guessing i can no longer use stock piping with this ?

1. the 74mm TB can be installed without tune or CAI.
2. the 74mm TB can be installed WITH CAI and no tune.
3. the 74mm TB can be install with both CAI and tune.

The guesstimation on #3 is about 20 HP, I have seen NO hard dyno documentation on this ....

I did it in this order :
1. installed the CAI - ran 3 months
2. installed the 74mm TB - ran 6 months
3. Got the EuroTune.

You need NO modifications to replace the 68mm TB with the 74mm TB, other than a new O ring.

YOU DO NOT NEED AN INTAKE FROM AN SRT6 !!!!!

If the SRT6 one is part # A113 141 01 25 ( I think it is ) - then it does not matter where it comes from.
