Default CUSTOM CHROME GRILL IS OUT!!!

We've all been discussing this one forever! I think I'm the first to notice that it's now on sale.

http://www.crossfiretuning.de/shop_n/index.php

Look under exterior. It's hidden on page 2 as the only item.

My personal opinon:
Now I'm a little less excited. They say its chrome plastic. Looks a little expensive for my tastes, and I don't really like the way it looks. Maybe it would look good in person, I don't know. I want something that is chrome but more of a mesh, like on the S-Type R Jaguars.

I think a mesh grill style like that would be hot on a Crossfire!

What do you guys think??

Heres another example of the style of grill I like. I'd like to see a company make one like this.

How much is he going to charge you?

I can't find a picture of the SL 55 AMG with a wire mesh grill. Can you post a link to what you are thinking of?

NJspeed69 - I agree with you. Went to the first sight to check out the chrome plastic grill - didn't like it at all. However, I liked the mesh grill on your second link. I am interested in following this through as well.

I looked on that website and damn they have a lot of different materials and options. If it looked good, $500 might be a good price, but does that include everything, or is it 500 just for the labor? Which kind of mesh would you want to use? A matte silver, or a chrome? Let me know what you find out, ok?

I'm just worried that putting any sort of chrome grill on this car might actually make it look bad, being everything all the other trim is just painted silver.

I'm also thinking maybe just painting the stock grille the same silver as the outside trim might look good.

I have a black car, and rather than just having the silver strips over the black grille, I think if you could get it done right, painting the entire grill silver might be hot looking, and of course, it would also be the cheapest option. Then again, it might just be too much silver. I wish I was good with Photoshop so I could take a look ahead of time.

Have you looked at REDCROSS' pctures? He has a red coupe, and painted the entire grill a matching red. It looks good to me, very understated, perhaps painting your entire grill black to match would be nice? I wouldn't do it on mine, I don't think an all Alabaster grill would look good.

I found that in the main picture gallery this morning. Someone put it up last night, so it's new.

I emailed the guy to find out where he got it, or if he made it, I'm waiting for an answer.

Hey Guys,
That Red Coupe is mine. I'm the Guy who is also developing a real Dual Air Intake System as well as customizing any part out there. Those Hot grills are mine.

I bought my chrome grill cover from ebay for $96.00 compared to CTD's $250 and I like it very much. This guy that sells it said he got it from his dad in Taiwan who manufactures it. I also bougth the chrome side mirror cover and it looks great! Just something for your xfire to look different than the ones displayed in the lot.

I'm waiting for him to sell me that chrome windshield surround..

Cyril,
Do you have any contact info for the guy? I would like to get the chrome grill, but I can't find anything on ebay currently.
