My stock serpentine belt broke so I got a 44$ gates belt,two days later it was shredded, I now have a contenical belt and it starting a pattern one rib next to the supercharger is showing wear.I did replace my idler guide pulley but never had a problem til that my idler pulley bearing seized and broke the stock belt so what's the best belt out to use.

 

In other threads, they state the Gates part number should be a K081145 for the SRT. Is that the belt you used? If so, and if you are still shredding belts, you might have a pulley alignment problem.

 

You are correct the idler guide pulley I purchased from napa isnt the correct width,one rib of the belt isnt supported,anyone have the correct part number because the part number I have I got from a search up it here,its the idler guide pulley under the small guide pulley next to the supercharger.
