Anyone interested in a "Crossfire Club" grill bage
Why do I have deja vu?
Is it because we already had this conversation a while back? Stan you said months ago you were going to get these made.. Check out back posts.. there have even been several posts trying to contact you and see whats up.. see if you've made any progress. I know Andrew has started several trying to check up on the whole badge thing.
If your going to make them, make them already. We had a huge list of people months ago who said they were in?
I'd buy a couple but for real, but I honestly don't think it's ever going to happen.

i used chrome vinyl tape to cover the gold badge (pics below)...but i don't care for this either...i need a replacement "crossfire" oval badge. i should send the car to chip foose so he can shave the entire chrysler wing badge thing front and rear for the super clean look.

Gold Hat: Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges.
And it was used again in:Blazing Saddles (1974)

I think the XFi would look better in the small of her back above her thong, anyway.
Who puts tatoos that big on such a small back?

Check out my gallery with the blond with the smaller XFi just above her thong and also the "crossfire" font with the XFi just below it.
I am contemplating making an iron on tranfer with the blond on a black T-shirt.

I see that. Now that picture is going to come up as a randomn image at the top of the page, since it's in the gallery. I wonder how long it's going to take to get 200 hits on it now? LOL!
I thought it was in The Magnificent Seven.......................
but I am almost positive it was Eli Wallach that said the historical words!!

Lol I didn't realize that this exact post was the same one I was referring to, when I said we discussed this months ago. Actually I think there were a couple back then.
Anyway I'm in for a couple if someone gets them made.. No Andrew I am not putting up the setup money
Hah.. I actually like the look of your chrome vinyl covering the gold badge. It looks good from the picture0s, but from up close can you tell its just chrome vinyl? Get all the bubbles out? Kinda looks like a cool solution to me. If you want to put a symbol or something on it, you could probably do that with vinyl too. Put like a black vinyl symbol on the chrome vinyl. Might look nice, or might look cheesey, I dunno.

Here are some sketches of some ideas that I had. I'm not in love with any one of them. Actually I drew both of them while talking on the phone. Maybe that would explain why they look as good as they do. LOL. See my gallery for sketches. If not there see my URL photo album.
Wow Sasksins I was looking at your pictures, and thinking about what Andrew did, when I thought up a great idea, that happens to be very inexpensive as well.
Andrew used chrome vinyl.
Well how about using a vinyl oval thats the same color as your car, and then putting a symbol on it that will contrast with your cars color.
Follow this with me!
For example, on my black Crossfire, I could cover the gold badge with a piece of black vinyl sticker. Then I could take a SILVER sticker of one of the drawings, or whatever symbol I wanted, and put it on top of the black vinyl. This would mesh perfectly with the colors of the car. People could design whatever symbol they want, bring it to your local sign making guy and have him cut you out a piece. Finish it off with a piece of clear vinyl so it looks like clear coat
Thus the gold badge would now be black with a silver X and a clear layer on top, for example.
Another example.. Saskins, you had a red car, you could turn the badge the same Blaze red with a silver "XF" on it..
If I could find a raised CHROME "X" I could actually glue it on top of the black vinyl piece.
Just find a car that has a chrome badge with an X on it and your good.. 325 Xi for example, or the Caddilac "X"LT. Buy the badge, cut out the X, glue it to the black vinyl. Just do it carefully so you can't see glue or so it's not crooked.
Thus it would be 3D, yet go perfectly with the front grill and the rest of the car. Any chrome symbol (or whatever color) that you think would look good, you could put on.
I dont think this would be too ricey or cheesey because it's just such a small portion of the car. It would just look painted and pretty custom. You would have to do it nice and clean. No bubbles. It would match with your cars colors and not look out of place. Plus it would be easy to remove when you sell the car or return your lease. You shave the Crossfire lettering off the back, put on one of these custom symbols.. WOW.. people who have never seen a Crossfire will think your driving some exotic!
Best of all, each of us could do something along these lines, with whatever symbol of our choosing..! for a very low price.! The flames you guys are thinking about would be EASY in vinyl.
Now that I'm thinking.. I just might give it a whirl in the next few weeks.. if I don't like it, I'll just remove it.. oh well, a measly $20 down the drain in the worst case scenario?

What do you guys think of my idea? I'm actually going to test it out and post pics. I'm going to just make a plain black badge that will say "Daimler Chrysler" on it, in a nice but clean looking way.
