Default Sticky accelerator

Good day to all those in the know.

I have an issue that may not be an issue but here goes....
When I step on the accelerator it seems to have 3 different detent or sticky points in its travel.
If I merely press on it like any other vehicle I have driven, its not smooth from one end of the travel to the other. there are at least 3 distinct spots where it feels as tho your needing to increase pressure and push past a detent.
To get the real kick out of it I have to really stab it to the floor and i can feel right at the end of travel a distinct click as it seats to the floor. It feels as tho its in the pedal assembly or the rheostat.
Has anyone else experienced this? I have never had a vehicle that felt like there were 3 different stages to. This is a physical resistance to pressing it down.

Thank you in advance for your replies...

Nope. Mine's smooth all the way till you hit the WARP 9 detent.

My suspicion is the rheostat is marginal. I found whole pedal/rheostat assemblies on ebay but not just the rheostat. If anyone has some good info on a replacement part I would sure appreciate it.

thanks again.

and yes the last detent is most certainly warp 9! lol..
