Default Alarm Dis-abling Starting my car

A while back I posted trouble starting my car. Parking lights were blinking and car would start but die within a couple seconds. Someone suggested I replace my battery, so I disconnected my batt. and took it down to the local parts house to get tested. It tested good. So took it home and re-installed it after cleaning the terminals. Car started right up! So I figured it was a dirty terminal... uhhh nope... car did it again the other day. Parking lights flashing.. no alarm sounding, and at one point it wouldn't even let me in the trunk, locked out. So I was able to open the door with the key, (I might also mention I replaced the key fob batt.) and pop the hood. Dis-connected the batt. ~ re-connected the batt and voila, car started right up. It appeared to re-set the alarm I guess! Anyone experienced the same? How do I re-set the alarm with my key fob? Years ago we had a Honda that would just die going down the road... had a factory alarm that was screwing the whole system up, so in dis-connecting that, it worked perfect for years later... never died again. I suppose I could have spent $$$'s having someone track down the issue but the Honda dealer suggested dis-connecting as they had seen this issue before. A kludge but neverless a fix....

Yes I know.... I will no longer have an alarm ... but how many people pay attention to them anyway. A blinking lite inside the car probably does more to deter than an alarm. If someone really wants the car... they will find a way to take it.. alarm or no alarm.

Thanks in advance
