Default Lcd brightness in the radio?

Is there a way or is it even physically possible to increase the brightness on the crossfire coupe 04 stock radio? If I'm wearing sunglasses, polarized or not it's very difficult to see. I thought I saw something with the user settings on the radio, but I can't see it so maybe I read it wrong. Either way, it's aggravating. If I can't fix it or make it brighter, I'm going to get a new radio soon anyways so it's not a huge deal but would be nice to fix.

Only way to make an '04 radio display brighter is to replace the unit with a '05 and up.
( or aftermarket )
