I removed the under engine splash pan a while back, and now I want to replace it, but I can't locate the four (I think) screw fasteners that attach it. Does anyone have the specs and possibly a picture of what I can use. Tried searching but all I could find was a reference to a 8mm screw. .

 

I used some generic interior trim screws with big body washers. The originals were 10mm but I don't know the thread width or length. Almost anything will work as long as it's long enough and not too fat. Sorry I can't do better.

I see the 8mm size mentioned, I would just get some screws and some large washers and call it quits.

 

As they have the large built in retainer washers that hold the splash shield in place I decided to get OEM. You can get the Mercedes parts from AutoHausAZ. The part number is 201 990 05 36. I don't recall what I paid for them, but it wasn't that much. I bought a few other items to make the order worth while.

 

Thanks for your responses..... I checked Autohauz az for that part number, and not on their parts list. I'll call them and inquire. If not I'll just get a selection of screws and washers and use what fits. Thanks again ... over and out

 

There are 4 8mm screw with attached washers and one 10mm screw.

 

That part number is on the Autohaus package label the screws came in. It had me wondering. I did an internet search on the number and verified it is correct and there are a number of sources out there. Pelican parts have them for $1.00 each.
