Help, Car at Dealership for 3 wks due to SRS module
Hi Everyone,
Well, my Crossfire has been at the dealership here in Florida for 3 weeks now. Started when it was necessary to replace the SKREEM Module. I went out to the car, the remote wouldn't work, opened door with key, alarm went off, car wouldn't start because antitheft device was kicking in. Replaced remote batteries and that didn't help. Had car towed to dealership. They replace the SKREEM module. Then the SRS light was flashing, so dealership replaced that SRS module for the airbag, etc. Ever since . . .they cannot get the new SRS module to initialize. They have tried something called a DRB, a Star Scanner, another type of Star scanning device, and a Snap-On Modis tool. Nothing is working. The computer is still not recognizing the SRS module and cannot get it to initialize. The dealership had the Chrysler Field Engineer for the State of Florida look at it yesterday and he apparently wasn't successful in getting it to work. From what I am told, if this is not fixed, though the car is drivable, the airbag may not deploy in an accident, and the seat belt might not also tighten as expected if there is an accident.
Has anyone else encountered this, and found a solution???
Thank you!!
