Default 0-60 time

Just did a 0-60mph with my new Gtech and the 2nd of two runs was 6.65 sec. 1st time out with the unit so I can't guarantee how accurate it is yet. I have the 6 speed coupe. Wasn't a perfect run so I think I can do better, but I need to get more comfortable with the Gtech and find a long straight and level stretch without traffic.

Hey Bob,

When I was doing runs with one of my previous cars I found a nice rest area that had a fairly straight entrance back onto the highway. I could also look back and check oncoming traffic before starting out.

Kind of a rush isn't it? Drive safe...

Decided to try the unit and take advantage of a nice day, as it is going to turn cold again. Also, it would be great to get enough runs in to get a base-line prior to chipping. I may be getting a chip in a month or so because of the deal offered by Upsolute on the forum. I don't want to chip before I know how it ran without it.

I recorded all of my runs and then using some "crude" statistical analysis you discard the one or two highest and lowest readings, average the rest. I'd try to get at least 8 very similar runs to establish your baseline.

I wouldn't worry too much about HP and Torque I wasn't able to get consistent results from my G-Tech Pro. I focused more on 1/4 mile time and speed. Unless you can get good, consistent results with the power readings.

CyberGreg:
I agree! Doesn't matter what the horse power says if it doesn't show up on the 1/4 mile and 0-60 times.

I got 5.85 with a 14.33 1/4. Tonight I did a couple 0-60s, the only one that registered was 7.2 I looked at all the graphs, one shift took .9 seconds haha.It was disgustingly humid, but cool, and the road wasn't totally level (could have been to my advantage), plus it bogged a little on the launch. sounds like alot of excuses, but it wasn't a good run at all.

I made a three or four runs at the track with my G-tech and it's readings were almost twins with the slip, so I believe mine is pretty accurate. On 285/35/19 PS2's with the TC on I've done a 4.1 second 0 to 60.
