Is it ok to disconnect the battery for a few months while car is in storage?

Yeah but why? I'd be more concerned about flat spotting your tires.

Yes but I suggest you still keep it on a battery tender
It keeps the battery fully charged without overcharging it

Amazon.com: battery tender

Just be aware that all the pollution sensor readings taken and stored, readings that are accessed if you have to have a pollution check to renew your tags or whatever, will be erased and you will have to drive the car around through different scenarios to get the readings all lined up again to be read. One reading not reset and the test is failed.
If you have no pollution tests in your area you will not have to worry about it.
I have a test coming up during the time when the car will be stored so I cannot take the battery off.
