i cant change the steering wheel??
any techs or mechanics who have worked on the steering columns yet? how come ive heard that you cant put a MOMO on a Crossfire (or SLK)? ive read that your ABS, ESP, and obviously the airbags will go nuts on you. plus the car will spit out error codes like crazy. are the steering wheel angle sensors in there? i figured they would be part of the spline / shaft that the steering wheel sits on, not the wheel itself. any help?

I know www.CTD-Germany.com sells a cool steering wheel...just a little too pricey though with Euro taxes and shipping plus core charge. By the way, how does this core charge work?
they probably charge your credit card some extra amount of money temporarily until they receive your steering wheel. then they refund it. if they dont receive your steering wheel, the temporary charge never goes away.
i think i could change it out for a different Mercedes wheel, a Kleeman wheel, or the Startech wheel pretty easily, at least thats what they do on the Benz... but i really had my eye on a MOMO. I had one in my Miata and it changes the whole car. im still researching -- ill be removing the steering wheel this weekend to explore and ill report back. i have found a hub adapter for an SLK, but the merchant doesnt know anything about whats involved in installing it. all he can do is order it and ship it.
