Default SLK320 Gauge cluster

Hi guys,

I'm looking at this SLK gauge cluster and I was wondering it's possible to change a mph cluster to a kph cluster?

Here's the link to the cluster. This one seems to be from an SLK200 with a higher redline. I will have to find something else. I like the needles in that color.

01-04 R170 MERCEDES SLK320 SLK230 INSTRUMENT SPEEDOMETER CLUSTER 1705407311 | eBay

Thank you!

I seem to remember there is a post about changing the colors/gauges to a different color, but could not find the post. It is an older post, but that might be your fix. Remember, the interior was revamped by Karman so unless you know for sure the cluster your interested in wil fit, you might be 'shelving' that purchase. Good luck!

In that same vein, ordered a A/C heater control module off eBay for my 2002 Concorde for $25 ( make an offer ) with free shipping because the digital display usually wouldn't light up without me thumping on it several times.
It came in yesterday, installed it and it wouldn't light up at all.
Called the parts supplier and asked for an exchange, they said "sorry, only one we had - keep it it and we'll refund full purchase price".
They immediately did just that to my paypal, I reviewed them with 5 stars.

The posts in question about the colour changes are in my signature link as are many others.
Look under lighting.
This conversion has been covered before and I cannot remember the outcome. The faceplate might be switchable if it starts and ends in the same place on both faceplates. Milage and rev counter figures may be locked in the cluster.
Someone else had a faceplate made to suit his new look.
Search is your friend.

I remember reading a thread about it. It was concluded that the best thing to do is open the cluster and change the backgroud and putting it back together. There was even a pic of it all done. I should have precised that this is what I intend to do.
