Default Need help

I was driving yesterday and my crossfire wouldn't shift out of 1st gear(automatic). I stopped at a traffic light, cut the car off to see if it would reset... To my surprise, it wouldn't crank again. Clicked as if the battery was dead. All lights, radio and A/C working fine. I used another battery to see if that was the problem, it's still doing the same. After getting it towed home, I put my battery in my other car, it fired right up. Can anyone give me direction on a fix or starting point?

What does a scanner show ? That sounds like "limp home" mode.

Limp home mode let's you drive home in second gear on the auto, it does not mean it goes home on a flat bed truck.
The car will start numerous times in this condition.r
