Pcm interchangeablety

PCM? If you change pcm with exact part number, does it need to be flashed, to operate properly!

My understanding is the powertrain control module needs to be unlocked before it can be programmed by a DRBiii or DAS Star tool. It’s programmed with VIN, secret pin for the Skreem, country etc.. There are companies that will repair the original PCM for $250-300. Some companies also offer cloning of the PCM to another working/reconditioned PCM....that appears to be more expensive $500-800 range.

Thanks for the info, sounds just like the PCM I purchased off the internet. I guess I'll focus on my original PCM it cranks, the injectors are delivering fuel, but no Spark! Thanks. Rex

RCM appears to be the no crank issue! But I did check it, and resolder it anyway.
