Have any one ever rear mounted a V8 of any kind in a Crossfire coupe. If so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I saw this before, it's been done.

 

I don't believe that is mid or rear mounted....

that would require ALOT of modifications (that would be a under statement ) the back would have to be stretched out ALOT.
between the front of the rear tire and the back of the seat there would have to be enough room for a engine and a bulkhead.
lots of room under the hood, if for weight distribution move as far back as possible.
if want more stretch the front a few more inches.
if only there was a descent way to even put in a hemi, but there is nit, might as well use a ls or lt, less headache than a iron hemi.

 

Mercedes V8 is more than enough !!

 

we though about it but cost is out of site.
we may put a twin turbo mercedes V8 into a crossfire the turbos have to be removed (they don;t fit) as they are on the exhaust manifold of the v8 they would have to be mounted under the car..
my next project crossfire wagon V8,,,,,,,,,,,,, or crossfire V8 ,,,,,,,,,,,could someone photoshop this to have a crossfire front end on it, thanks jim

Mercedes V8 fits quite nicely.
