I have only had the car for a couple of months and have only driven it to short trips around town. Its seems to suddenly lose all power from the start of acceleration. When this occurs, I can floor it and it will just creep through the gears. It has done this a few times but I have noticed that if I briefly Park it or once the motor is cool, its runs normal again until the motor warms up. One one occasion, the check engine light even came on while I was in Sacramento and had just entered the freeway. I pulled over and disconnected the battery to hopefully reset the computer and luck would have it worked and was able to drive home 45 miles without any further incident. Any ideas?

I was telling you the most likely cause. You now have to check if the pump actually is the culprit before purchasing a new one

Crystal had this same problem, turned out to be the connector at the SC clutch.
