Default Custom Grille

I've search the forum as best as I could but have not found an answer for my concern. Does anyone know if the custom grille's made from the horizontal aluminum or stainless bar's make the car run hotter? It seems that I saw somewhere on here that it can be a concern, but as I said, I can't find the thread anywhere. If anyone has installed one of these grille's please let me know if it caused your XF to run hotter.

Thanks for the input.

Jim

I never read that but people say they can scratch the paint very easily. The scratches are more obvious if you put the original grille back on the car.
Mesh grilles show everything behind the grille and these so called billet grilles less so.

Our limited had a billet grill on it when we bought it and we left it on for several months before going back to a factory grill. I like the looks of the OEM gill the best. Never saw any difference on the temp gauge between the two and it gets mighty hot here.
