Red face Anxious and Patient in Lincoln, CA.

Hello, and good afternoon fellow Crossfire Enthusiasts:

Can somebody help me?! When I get in the car to start it, a 2004 coupe, and press the throttle peddle to the floor, and start it, it will start and rev accordingly.

Yet when I start it without doing so, like normal with no peddle, it will start fine, but when I give it gas after it starts, it is very slow to react and it slowly builds rpms up. And I don't believe it will even rev to redline after starting it this way.

Also, after having started it normally, without peddle depression, and getting it to go down the road, which takes forever to accelerate, I turn the key off while in motion and leaving it in gear, say 40 mph, I floor the gas peddle and turn the key back on...... it starts running like normal. That is, it gives me full accelerator pedal response until I totally let off the gas pedal. Then the little son of a ***** goes back to the initial delayed, slow response for the accelerator pedal. And it will not react normally again, at all, until I pull the little....... turn-key-off-floor-it-scenario....again.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

Thank you,

Critter in Lincoln CAL.

HEY EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!

I just went out to run a check with the OBD-11, and it came up "No Codes"!!!

So I started it up and damn, it is running excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guess I needed to just turn off and restart after doing the throttle body cleaning, reset and MAP cleaning.
Wow, I forgot how fun and fast these cars are, for I haven't driven her for 16 months.

HAPPY CROSSFIRING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
