ABS/ESP Light
Hi! I've tried the turn the to the left then to the right and I still can't get that light on the dash to go out. I've even taken it to a friend and he hooked up some kind of gadget to diagnose the problem but nothing comes up. Seems maybe it's a short of some kind. Anyone out there have any suggestions? SO frustrated!

I do not know where at all, what has the throttle got to do with this problem?
Trial blazers or trail blazers?
These cars have system that gives fault codes, I always suggest getting these codes read, you may or may not be given the code for the cause of the problem. Why not get the codes read instead of wasting time guessing?

or am I confusing this with another post earlier today?
Yes it is but the price is $16,000. My whole thread seemed to have gotten mixed up. It’s a 2007 with 16,600 miles and anyone can make me an offer however car is in CT
Wishing and hoping for a favourable, positive outcome with your current service issues. The choir is singing about the codes. You can’t do much to correct the situation until you k ow what the real issue is.
good luck on this.
Same problem. Crossfire convertible roadster, 2005. What had happened originally is the TPS quit working. We were getting low pressure lights on the dash. Also the BAS/ESP light came on. I took it to my normal mechanic, put new tires on and replaced the TPS sensors. We went with sensors from Mercedes. The low pressure light is no longer lit but the BAS/ESP light is still on. My mechanic did not have a compatible scanner and recommended a local European car mechanic to find out what the codes were causing the BAS/ESP light to be on. He's not reading any error codes when scanned yet the BAS/ESP light is on. No performance issues at all. Spoiler's not up. Replaced the switch on the brake pedal. Replaced the steering position sensor and reset per instructions in the owners manual and on this site. This was his second Crossfire. He wasn't able to fix either car. He had my car for 6 weeks decided to stop work on it. Didn't charge me anything. Won't touch another Crossfire. Not sure what to do. Without any error codes I don't want to just start replacing all of the other parts that could cause this light to be on. Makes me want to do like we did on the old VCR's when we couldn't set the time. Put a piece of tape over it.
johnsongd; Crossfire convertible roadster? Limited or SRT6

You can not allow the scan tool to do its normal initiation. You must manually put in Model/ frame 170 and then SLK 320 or SLK 32, depending on the car you have. The Crossfire will scan as a Mercedes 2003 SLK

It is the Limited.
Since my regular mechanic does not have a compatible scanner "He" is the European car mechanic.
Not sure what method was used to scan for error codes so I'll check with the European car mechanic and share your information with him.
Thanks for the information!

So my mechanic is now totally about to give up. He called a Mercedes Dealer here in town and they won't touch the car. I stopped by and they told me same thing. He went to order the ABS switch and Chrysler doesn't carry any Crossfire parts. Now what? He did order the needed part hoping its the right part but this is getting costly. Once the ABS problem is corrected we need to deal with the ESP issue. Also, now my airbag light on the dashboard is on continuously! I can't win!

Have you tried this?
Simple fix below corrected it for me.
I had the light come on last year, so I did a little digging. I found this
you never know, it will cost you $0 to do this.
Try to reset it. While the car is running, in park, turn your wheel completely to the right then completely to the left. Bring the wheels back to center or (straight), then turn off your car. After restarting the car the light should stay off. If you still have the light on the dash, I suggest to get a scan tool and scan the car for error codes.
Let us know if this corrects it for you.
Wishing you success in correcting the issue.
Hello Everyone! I finally got the ABS/ESP light on the dashboard fixed. However after that was fixed the airbag light came on and won't go off. After having someone try to erase the codes yesterday in an attempt to figure out what's wrong the light out warning light is now on, SO, now I have 2 lights on. Now I'm guessing it has something to do with a sensor.
Any thoughts? I would like to fix this problem and sell it because it's the only car I have up north and can't drive it in the winter.
Thanks!
