Default air bag light

I have an air bag indicator light on. What are the possible causes and solutions?

Either a code is set, a short is keeping the light on, or there is a bright light behind the indicator that looks like an airbag error is present. No matter what I would get the codes read if present and get it fixed if you want the system to work as designed (I dunno, there is a history of the Tacata airbags hurting/killing people due to degraded propellant within it when it 'goes off').

I had mine come on years ago and my car was not involved in an accident or anything. It just pop on. I had a independent read it and they said they couldnt really determine what it might be since it just turned on. Long story short, I replace the air bag module and the light went out by itself and never returned.

I found it in the manual. Did you have to reset it with a DRBIII

Airbag module is under the center of the dash, your going to have to remove the center console and the ash tray and other stuff to get to it. Its held in by 4 screws. I swapped mine out with a used one I bought on a ebay and it reset itself. I didnt have to have use to a DRBIII scanner.
