ESP/BAS light staying on after fixing RCU dry joints
hi
Thought I had solved my intermittent starting issue after reading the good info on here. Found 4 dry solder joints. Put it in and same problem. Checked that all the relays were operating as per advice. Not the ESP/BAS light is staying on. Would help to track down this intermittant start issue?
My issue seems common on here.
regards

Have you considered or changed the Crankshaft position sensor, as another "common" starting issue?
Plus might add, you might want to connect a Code reader to the car to see if there are any specific Errors?

thanks to those who gave me a hand. I googled the ESP/BAS light staying on and it was because I had disconnected the earth to check the Relay control unit fault.
The fix was to turn the steering wheel to the centre then full left then full right. Light extinguished!!
Man this car has some unusual quirks lol.
Once before when the engine light came on it was suggested to remove and refit the petrol cap and it worked
