Default New Guy looking for upgrades

Hello all, I'm a new guy and haven't really gone through all the threads yet. I was just wondering if anyone could be kind enough to make some suggestions on upgrades or (Mods) that are avail. for a 2005 Crossfire Coupe Limited? My Crossfire is a Automatic/stick, I don't know if that makes a difference or not. Thank you to all who respond.

keep searching. try saskins intake, borla or magnaflow exhaust, upsolute chip, under drive pulleys, brembo, rotex gold. that should give you a base to start searching for threads --

have fun, welcome aboard.

Wow thank you for all you responses. I saw one intake that looks like a dryer hose, not so sure about that. I haven't seen the emblems yet, but I am interested to see.

Andrew, how did you deactivate that annoying seat belt chime? I hate that thing.
-I have retro fitted a set of Brembo Brakes which have unbelievable stopping power, which is a must have were I live, it rains about 6 months out of the year up here.
- Now I have stopping power, but I want more Ponies to put the stopping power to the ultimate test.

* Whats the deal with the Upsolute?

Has anyone installed a magna flow, or a Borla? I read that the Borla is a catback system, but is like 800.00 frog skins. Does Magna make a catback?
Thanks everyone, this is a really cool forum.

Thumbs up Re: New Guy looking for upgrades

Get the Magnaflow #14220 muffler for your car. Its $110 dollars and you should expect to pay about $60.00 for the install. It sounds unbelievable! Gives the car a much needed "attitude adjustment" and sounds like its runnin' a small V8. You will not be disappointed as others can attest, right guys?!

does magnaflow make a catback? how does everyone feel about k&n filter replacements. i know i put them in my previous cars and liked the extra boost. but i was looking for someone who has them installed, and ask them how much of a difference they make in the crossfire. i looked at the two guys who have intakes, and i think saskins has the right idea. not to take away from mcjack? but it looks like saskins went along with Mercedes' original design. are they for sale do you know?

here is a link to a catback magnaflow system:

i have the k&n filters in my car. i didn't notice any difference or improvements in performance (seat of the pants) but they can't hurt imo.

saskins does have his system for sale... i would send him a "pm" for additional info.

Andrew thank you for your info. i like the magna flow not having the second granade on there. the only thing is, at a glance it didn't look like it could connect into both sides though.

so no go on k&n's...hmmm, ok. i've never heard of them not doing anything, but you never know some cars may not react to more air.

Thanks for posting links for me, it makes it much easier for me to see what your talking about.

Hello, where did you get your clear front marker lights? Also, do you know anything about the LED brake lights? If so, what make and model? Your Xfire is the nicest I have seen! Giovanni 2005 Crossfire Ltd., 6 speed, Nav. E-Mail Address: lawgt23@aol.com
